The Crown Is Beautiful. But It Conceals the Awesome Crime of Colonialism.

I must admit, they are gorgeous.  The Crown.  Downtown Abby.  The hundredth version of Pride and Prejudice.  Romance novels gussied up to look like serious drama (Bridgerton). I recall watching the first season of The Crown and finding infinite delight simply listening to the accent of Tommy Lascelles, Private Secretary to both King George VI and to Queen Elizabeth II, portrayed superbly by Pip Torrens.  Yummy.  But folks, there’s a tiny problem here.  I hate to burst your late 18th century costume drama bubble but… The Crown conceals the awesome crime of colonialism.
